Client Vision & Objectives
The client wanted an entertainment space that brought together a high-end home cinema and a stylish social area for relaxing, gaming, and hosting. Their goal was to create a luxurious, immersive environment equipped with cutting-edge home automation, top-notch audiovisual performance, and a sophisticated aesthetic. The challenge was to combine all these elements without sacrificing functionality or style.
Design & Execution
The design aimed to capture a cinematic vibe while keeping the space versatile for entertainment. A sleek, dark colour palette with black and charcoal tones, complemented by warm lighting, set the stage for a dramatic yet inviting atmosphere. Premium materials like velvet upholstery, matte black finishes, and high-gloss surfaces added an extra touch of elegance.
A standout feature of the space is the fiber-optic star ceiling, which replicates a night sky and enhances the cinema experience. Indirect LED lighting along the walls adds to the dynamic, immersive feel. Acoustic panels, designed with vertical lighting accents, not only improve sound quality but also add to the room’s overall style.
The seating was carefully thought out for both comfort and socialising. A plush sectional sofa at the back offers a cozy lounge area, while a bar-height counter with stylish stools provides extra seating without blocking the view. To keep things fun, a high-gloss black pool table was placed in the foreground, offering another entertainment option that doesn’t interfere with the home cinema setup.
At the heart of the cinema is a state-of-the-art projector delivering ultra-high-definition visuals on a large screen. The projector is neatly hidden in the ceiling to keep the space looking sleek. This is paired with a high-end surround sound system, perfectly tuned for an immersive audio experience.
To round it all out, the space includes a fully stocked home bar, complete with glass shelving, integrated LED lighting, and temperature-controlled wine storage. The bar blends seamlessly with the room’s design, providing guests with a cohesive and luxurious entertainment experience.
Smart Automation & Integration
This isn’t just a great-looking space—it’s fully automated too. A custom smart home system makes it easy to control lighting, audio, visuals and climate all from one interface. With a single tap, the client can switch between movie mode, gaming mode, or social mode, adjusting the ambiance and sound settings effortlessly.
